TIDACT Gel 1pct 20g 1%

Indication

TIDACT Gel 1% (Clindamycin Phosphate) is a topical antibiotic used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. It acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and reducing Cutibacterium acnes colonisation.

Ingredients

• Clindamycin Phosphate 1%

Direction

Adults and adolescents: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily (morning and evening) after cleansing. Use for up to 12 weeks. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Side effects

• Local dryness
• itching
• burning
• or peeling at application site.
• Oily or greasy skin.
• Rare: contact dermatitis.
• Rare: pseudomembranous colitis (with systemic absorption — very uncommon with topical use).

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes
• nose
• and mouth.
• Colitis has been reported with systemic clindamycin
• discontinue if persistent diarrhoea or abdominal cramping occurs.
• Avoid concomitant use with other topical preparations containing alcohol or abrasives.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of inflammatory bowel disease.
• Resistance may develop with prolonged use
• prefer combination with benzoyl peroxide when possible.
