G-DERM Cream Betamethasone dipropionate 0.64mg + Gentamicin sulfate 1mg + Clotrimazole 10mg per gram

Indication

G-DERM Cream is a triple-combination topical preparation containing a corticosteroid (betamethasone), an antibiotic (gentamicin), and an antifungal (clotrimazole). It is used for inflammatory skin conditions complicated by or at risk of bacterial and fungal infections, such as infected eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis with secondary infection, and infected intertrigo.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.064% (0.64 mg per gram)
• Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1% (1 mg per gram)
• Clotrimazole 1% (10 mg per gram)

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area two to three times daily. Duration of treatment should be limited, generally not exceeding 2 weeks for facial application and 4 weeks for other areas. Avoid occlusive dressings unless directed.

Side effects

• Local: skin atrophy
• striae
• telangiectasia
• acne
• perioral dermatitis (with prolonged use).
• Local irritation
• burning
• or pruritus.
• Systemic corticosteroid effects (adrenal suppression) with prolonged use over large areas.
• Risk of gentamicin sensitisation.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use on the face for more than 5–7 days — risk of skin atrophy and rosacea.
• Not for use on broken skin
• open wounds
• or viral skin infections (herpes
• chickenpox).
• Prolonged use or occlusion may cause skin atrophy
• stretch marks
• and systemic corticosteroid effects.
• Not for use in children under 2 years.
• Aminoglycoside (gentamicin) resistance may develop with prolonged use.
• Avoid use over large areas for extended periods.
