Indication
CLOFENAC-SR 100 mg is a sustained-release NSAID used for the management of pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal disorders, and dysmenorrhoea.
Ingredients
- Diclofenac sodium 100 mg (sustained
- release)
Direction
Adults: 1 tablet (100 mg) once daily, preferably taken whole with water in the morning or evening with or after food. Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal discomfort
- nausea
- and abdominal pain.
- Heartburn.
- Headache and dizziness.
- Fluid retention and oedema.
- Elevated liver enzymes.
- Elevated blood pressure.
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to diclofenac
- aspirin
- or other NSAIDs.
- Avoid use in active peptic ulcer disease or GI bleeding.
- Use with caution in cardiovascular disease
- hypertension
- or renal/hepatic impairment.
- Not recommended in the third trimester of pregnancy.
- Do not crush or chew — sustained
- release tablet must be swallowed whole.
- Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants.
- Keep out of reach of children.
