Indication

CIRAL Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial eye drop used for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers caused by susceptible strains of organisms.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 3 mg/mL (0.3%) as base
• ophthalmic solution
• 10 mL

Direction

Bacterial conjunctivitis: Instil 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then every 4 hours while awake for the next 5 days. Corneal ulcers: Follow physician's dosing schedule. Wash hands before use.

Side effects

• Local burning or stinging upon instillation.
• Transient blurred vision.
• Eyelid itching or redness.
• White crystalline precipitate in the eye (mainly in corneal ulcer treatment).

Precautions

• For ophthalmic (eye) use only — do not swallow or inject.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment.
• Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones.
• Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non
• susceptible organisms.
• Consult a doctor if no improvement within 7 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
