Indication
CIRAL Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial eye drop used for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers caused by susceptible strains of organisms.
Ingredients
- Ciprofloxacin 3 mg/mL (0.3%) as base
- ophthalmic solution
- 10 mL
Direction
Bacterial conjunctivitis: Instil 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then every 4 hours while awake for the next 5 days. Corneal ulcers: Follow physician's dosing schedule. Wash hands before use.
Side effects
- Local burning or stinging upon instillation.
- Transient blurred vision.
- Eyelid itching or redness.
- White crystalline precipitate in the eye (mainly in corneal ulcer treatment).
Precautions
- For ophthalmic (eye) use only — do not swallow or inject.
- Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment.
- Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones.
- Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non
- susceptible organisms.
- Consult a doctor if no improvement within 7 days.
- Keep out of reach of children.
