Domper 10mg

Indication

Domper (Domperidone) 10 mg tablets are used for the relief of nausea and vomiting, and symptoms of upper gastrointestinal dysmotility (bloating, epigastric fullness, regurgitation) in adults and adolescents.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over weighing 35 kg or more: 10 mg up to three times daily before meals. Maximum 30 mg per day. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Do not exceed 10 mg three times daily.

Side effects

• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Diarrhoea.
• Elevated prolactin (galactorrhoea
• amenorrhoea).
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
• QT prolongation (rare
• at high doses).

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with prolactin
• secreting pituitary tumours.
• Avoid in significant hepatic impairment.
• Use with caution with other drugs that prolong QT interval.
• Not recommended for long
• term use.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years or weighing less than 35 kg (liquid form preferred).
• Keep out of reach of children.
