Candid Cream Clotrimazole 1%

Indication

Candid Cream (Clotrimazole 1%) is a topical antifungal used to treat fungal skin infections including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), pityriasis versicolor, and cutaneous candidiasis.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected and surrounding skin twice or three times daily. Rub in gently. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms clear. For athlete's foot: treat for at least 4 weeks. Wash hands after application.

Side effects

• Mild burning or stinging on application — occasional.
• Skin irritation
• erythema
• or itching at the application site.
• Hypersensitivity reactions — rare.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use if hypersensitive to clotrimazole or any excipient.
• Discontinue if skin irritation or hypersensitivity reaction occurs.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
