Indication
Candid Cream (Clotrimazole 1%) is a topical antifungal used to treat fungal skin infections including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), pityriasis versicolor, and cutaneous candidiasis.
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole 1% w/w
Direction
Apply a thin layer to the affected and surrounding skin twice or three times daily. Rub in gently. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms clear. For athlete's foot: treat for at least 4 weeks. Wash hands after application.
Side effects
- Mild burning or stinging on application — occasional.
- Skin irritation
- erythema
- or itching at the application site.
- Hypersensitivity reactions — rare.
Precautions
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Do not use if hypersensitive to clotrimazole or any excipient.
- Discontinue if skin irritation or hypersensitivity reaction occurs.
- Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy.
- Keep out of reach of children.
