Indication

Lertec 10 mg (Cetirizine) is a second-generation antihistamine used for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever, dust mite allergy) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), including sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin itching.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: One 10 mg tablet once daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mg (half tablet) twice daily or 10 mg once daily. Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mg twice daily (use syrup form if available). Take with or without food, with water.

Side effects

• Drowsiness or somnolence.
• Headache.
• Dry mouth.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea
• abdominal pain).
• Rarely: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use if hypersensitive to cetirizine
• hydroxyzine
• or any excipient.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment
• dose reduction required.
• May cause drowsiness in some patients
• avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical advice.
• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
