Labixten Oral Solution 2.5mg/mL 120mL

Indication

Labixten Oral Solution is a non-sedating, second-generation antihistamine used for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (both seasonal and perennial) and urticaria (hives) in children. It relieves symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and itchy skin.

Ingredients

• Bilastine 2.5 mg/mL

Direction

Children 2–11 years weighing 10–<20 kg: 5 mL (12.5 mg) once daily. Children 2–11 years weighing ≥20 kg: 10 mL (25 mg) once daily. To be taken on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal or fruit juice), as food significantly reduces absorption. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Somnolence (less common compared to first
• generation antihistamines).
• Fatigue.
• Nausea.
• Abdominal pain.

Precautions

• Avoid taking with food or fruit juice — this significantly reduces bioavailability.
• Use with caution in children with severe renal impairment.
• Not recommended in children under 2 years of age.
• Not expected to cause sedation at recommended doses
• but individual response may vary.
• Consult a physician if symptoms do not improve within a few days.
