Deflux 10mg

Indication

Deflux is used for relief of nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying. It acts as a dopamine antagonist to promote gastric motility.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet (10 mg) up to 3 times daily, taken 15–30 minutes before meals. Do not exceed 30 mg per day. Use for the shortest duration necessary.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• headache.
• Raised prolactin levels leading to galactorrhoea or gynaecomastia with long
• term use.
• Rare: cardiac arrhythmia
• QT prolongation.

Precautions

• Not recommended for patients with known cardiac conditions or QT prolongation.
• Avoid in patients with prolactin
• secreting pituitary tumour.
• Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease.
• Do not exceed recommended dose
• risk of serious cardiac effects with higher doses.
• Keep out of reach of children.
