Indication
Montiget 10mg is a leukotriene receptor antagonist used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents 15 years and above, and for relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
Ingredients
- Montelukast sodium 10 mg
Direction
Adults and adolescents 15 years and above: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily, taken in the evening. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Headache
- dizziness.
- Abdominal pain
- nausea.
- Increased risk of upper respiratory infection.
- Rare: neuropsychiatric effects including agitation
- anxiety
- and depression.
Precautions
- Not intended for acute asthma attacks
- use a rescue inhaler for acute episodes.
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric events including mood changes
- depression
- and suicidal ideation.
- Inform physician of all concomitant medications.
- Keep out of reach of children.
