Indication
Zyrtec oral solution is used for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and urticaria in children. The 0.1% solution provides 1 mg cetirizine per mL.
Ingredients
- Cetirizine hydrochloride 1 mg/mL (0.1%) solution
- 75 mL bottle
Direction
Children 2β6 years: 2.5 mL (2.5 mg) twice daily. Children 6β12 years: 5 mL (5 mg) twice daily or 10 mL (10 mg) once daily. Adults and children over 12: 10 mL (10 mg) once daily. Use the measuring device provided.
Side effects
- Drowsiness or fatigue.
- Dry mouth
- headache.
- Dizziness.
- Rare: allergic reactions
- agitation in children.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid driving if affected.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical supervision.
- Keep out of reach of children.
