Zyrtec 0.1% / 75ml

Indication

Zyrtec oral solution is used for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and urticaria in children. The 0.1% solution provides 1 mg cetirizine per mL.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine hydrochloride 1 mg/mL (0.1%) solution
• 75 mL bottle

Direction

Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mL (2.5 mg) twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL (5 mg) twice daily or 10 mL (10 mg) once daily. Adults and children over 12: 10 mL (10 mg) once daily. Use the measuring device provided.

Side effects

• Drowsiness or fatigue.
• Dry mouth
• headache.
• Dizziness.
• Rare: allergic reactions
• agitation in children.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving if affected.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical supervision.
• Keep out of reach of children.
