Indication

Propofan is a combination analgesic and antipyretic used for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, dental pain, menstrual pain, and fever. The combination of paracetamol, propyphenazone, and caffeine provides enhanced analgesic effect.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Propyphenazone 150 mg
• Caffeine 50 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 6 tablets per day. Take with water. Not to be used for more than a few days without medical advice.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting.
• Allergic reactions (rare).
• Insomnia due to caffeine content.
• Rare: liver toxicity with paracetamol overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• avoid paracetamol
• containing products simultaneously.
• Contains caffeine
• limit caffeine from other sources.
• Avoid in patients with severe liver disease.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Keep out of reach of children.
