Cox B-200 200mg

Indication

Cox B-200 (Celecoxib) is a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID used for the relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and for management of acute pain and primary dysmenorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Celecoxib 200 mg

Direction

Osteoarthritis/Rheumatoid arthritis: Adults: 100–200 mg once or twice daily. Acute pain/Dysmenorrhoea: 400 mg initially, then 200 mg if needed on the first day; thereafter 200 mg twice daily as needed. Take with food.

Side effects

• Stomach upset
• diarrhea.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Raised blood pressure.
• Oedema (fluid retention).
• Rare: cardiovascular events
• serious skin reactions.

Precautions

• Increased risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack
• stroke) with long
• term use
• use lowest effective dose.
• Not recommended in patients with significant cardiovascular disease.
• Avoid in patients with sulfonamide allergy.
• Avoid in patients with severe kidney or liver disease.
• Not recommended during pregnancy
• especially in third trimester.
• Keep out of reach of children.
