Indication
Prezen (Loratadine) is a second-generation non-sedating antihistamine used for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Ingredients
- Loratadine 10 mg
Direction
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily. Children 2–12 years (body weight over 30 kg): 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily; (body weight 30 kg or less): 5 mg once daily. Take with or without food.
Side effects
- Headache
- fatigue.
- Dry mouth.
- Rare: drowsiness
- allergic reactions.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
- Although less sedating than older antihistamines
- may still cause drowsiness in some individuals.
- Keep out of reach of children.
