Indication

Strepsils Throat Irritation & Cough is a throat lozenge used for the symptomatic relief of sore throat and associated irritating or dry cough. Levodropropizine acts as a peripheral antitussive to reduce cough reflex.

Ingredients

• Levodropropizine 15 mg per lozenge

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 lozenge every 2–3 hours as needed. Dissolve slowly in mouth. Maximum 8 lozenges per day. Children 6–12 years: as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Rare: mild nausea
• dizziness
• or local irritation.

Precautions

• Not for children under 6 years without medical supervision.
• Consult a physician if cough or sore throat is severe or persists beyond 3 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
