Panol 250mg/5ml

Indication

Panol suspension is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and reduction of fever in children. It is suitable for headache, toothache, earache, sore throat, and fever from cold or flu.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 250 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Children: 10–15 mg/kg body weight per dose every 4–6 hours. Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours. Typical doses: 3–5 years: 5 ml; 6–8 years: 7.5 ml; 9–12 years: 10 ml. Adults may use if no other formulation is available at appropriate weight-based dose.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses: nausea
• allergic skin reactions
• Hepatotoxicity in overdose

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended dose.
• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment.
• Do not use for more than 3 days for fever without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
