Indication

Decolgen Forte is a combination cold and flu relief medication used to relieve nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, headache, and fever associated with the common cold, flu, and allergic rhinitis. Paracetamol relieves pain and fever; phenylpropanolamine decongests nasal passages; chlorpheniramine reduces allergic symptoms.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Phenylpropanolamine HCl 25 mg
• Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet every 6–8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Take with water.

• increased blood pressure (due to phenylpropanolamine)
• Nausea
• stomach upset

Precautions

• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol or decongestant
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension
• hyperthyroidism
• diabetes
• or heart disease due to phenylpropanolamine.
• May cause drowsiness (chlorpheniramine) — avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment.
• Not recommended in children under 12 years.
• Avoid concurrent use with MAO inhibitors.
• Consult a physician if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7 days.
