Indication
Relief of productive cough and chest congestion by loosening and thinning mucus in children.
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine 100mg per 5ml
Direction
Children 2–5 years: 2.5 ml three times daily; children 6–12 years: 5 ml three times daily, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea
- stomach upset).
- Rarely
- skin rash or allergic reaction.
- Diarrhea.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
- Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer.
- Consult a doctor if cough persists beyond 7 days or is accompanied by fever.
- Keep out of reach of children.
