Indication

Treatment of inflammatory skin conditions complicated by or susceptible to bacterial infection, including infected eczema and dermatitis.

Ingredients

• Neomycin sulfate 3
• 500 IU per gram
• Betamethasone valerate 0.1% per gram

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area two to three times daily. Do not cover with an airtight dressing unless directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Skin thinning and atrophy with prolonged use.
• Telangiectasia (dilated blood vessels).
• Contact sensitization to neomycin.
• Risk of systemic corticosteroid effects if applied over large areas.
• Local burning or stinging.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or underarm areas unless prescribed.
• Avoid use near the eyes.
• Do not use on skin infections caused by viruses or fungi without appropriate therapy.
• Prolonged use may cause skin thinning and striae.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Not recommended for use in children under 2 years without medical supervision.
