Indication
Relief of productive cough and chest congestion by reducing mucus viscosity and aiding expectoration in children.
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine 2% (100mg per 5ml)
Direction
Children 2–5 years: 2.5 ml three times daily; children 5–12 years: 5 ml three times daily, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal disturbance (nausea
- stomach pain).
- Diarrhea.
- Rarely
- skin rash.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
- Use with caution in patients with active peptic ulcer.
- Consult a doctor if cough persists beyond 7 days or is accompanied by high fever.
- Keep out of reach of children.
