Indication

- Primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease) - Secondary adrenal insufficiency - Congenital adrenal hyperplasia - Severe inflammatory or allergic conditions

Ingredients

• Hydrocortisone

Direction

Take orally with water, preferably during a meal. Dosage is often divided throughout the day to mimic the body's natural cortisol cycle.

Side effects

• Weight gain and fluid retention
• Sleep disturbances or insomnia
• Mood changes or irritability
• Increased appetite
• Skin thinning or bruising

Precautions

• Do not stop treatment abruptly
• Increase dose during illness or stress
• Monitor blood pressure and electrolytes
• May mask symptoms of infection
• Use with caution in osteoporosis
