Indication
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Ingredients
- Tamsulosin Hydrochloride BP 0.4mg (in a controlled release system
- enteric
- coated tablet)
Direction
As directed by the urologist. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not chewed. Warning: To be sold by retail on the prescription of a urologist only.
Side effects
- Common: dizziness
- abnormal ejaculation
- rhinitis
- headache
- asthenia. Rare: orthostatic hypotension
- priapism
- intraoperative floppy iris syndrome.
Precautions
- May cause dizziness
- especially on standing — rise slowly. Take after the same meal each day. Inform your ophthalmologist before cataract surgery.
