Indication
- Respiratory tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Chlamydia and Syphilis - Erythrasma - Diphtheria and Pertussis prophylaxis
Ingredients
- Erythromycin
Direction
Take orally on an empty stomach, preferably 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. If severe stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal cramps
- Diarrhea
- Loss of appetite
- Reversible hearing loss (high doses)
Precautions
- Hepatic (liver) dysfunction
- History of QT prolongation
- Myasthenia gravis
- Potentially severe drug interactions
- Risk of Clostridioides difficile
- associated diarrhea
