Indication
Bacterial infections (fluoroquinolone antibiotic)
Ingredients
- Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP eq. to Ciprofloxacin 500mg
Direction
As directed by the physician
Side effects
- Common: nausea
- diarrhea
- headache
- dizziness
- abdominal pain. Rare: tendon rupture
- QT prolongation
- peripheral neuropathy
- C. difficile colitis
- CNS effects.
Precautions
- Avoid in pregnancy
- breastfeeding
- and children (risk of tendon/cartilage damage). May cause dizziness — avoid driving. Stay well hydrated. Discontinue and consult doctor if tendon pain occurs. Avoid excessive sun exposure.
