Indication
Vaginal infections (bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis)
Ingredients
- Metronidazole BP 500mg
- Clotrimazole BP 100mg
- Lactobacillus Spores 150 Million
Direction
As per insert or as directed by the physician. For vaginal administration only.
Side effects
- Common: nausea
- metallic taste
- headache
- loss of appetite
- abdominal cramps
- local irritation
- burning
- stinging at application site
- mild bloating
- flatulence (temporary). Rare: peripheral neuropathy
- seizures
- dark urine
- pancreatitis
- hepatotoxicity
- allergic reactions
- skin peeling
- blistering
- bacteremia (immunocompromised patients
- very rare)
- fungemia (S. boulardii in ICU patients).
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for 48 hours after (disulfiram
- like reaction). Complete the full course. May cause metallic taste
- nausea
- or dizziness.
