- nausea
- polyuria
- urinary tract infections. Rare: acute kidney injury
- diabetic ketoacidosis
- hypotension
- lactic acidosis
- necrotizing fasciitis of perineum (Fournier's gangrene)
- vitamin B12 deficiency.
