Indication
Bacterial infections susceptible to piperacillin-tazobactam
Ingredients
- Piperacillin Sodium (Sterile) USP eq. to Piperacillin 4000mg
- Tazobactam Sodium (Sterile) USP eq. to Tazobactam 500mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Dissolve the contents of vial in 20ml of sterile water for injection USP. Use reconstituted solution immediately.
Side effects
- Common: diarrhea
- nausea
- headache
- insomnia
- rash
- injection site reactions. Rare: C. difficile colitis
- anaphylaxis
- bleeding disorders
- leukopenia
- nephrotoxicity.
Precautions
- Keep medicine out of reach of children. Improper storage conditions may deteriorate the quality of product.
