Indication
- Bacterial respiratory tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Chlamydia or mycoplasma infections - Diphtheria and erythrasma treatment - Alternative for penicillin-allergic patients
Ingredients
- Erythromycin
Direction
Take orally on an empty stomach, usually 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Follow the prescribed dosage frequency, typically every 6 to 12 hours.
Side effects
- Abdominal cramps and stomach pain
- Nausea
- vomiting
- and diarrhea
- Loss of appetite
- Temporary hearing loss with high doses
- Skin rash or urticaria
Precautions
- History of liver or gallbladder disease
- Cardiac rhythm disorders or QT prolongation
- Severe allergic reactions to macrolide antibiotics
- Potential interactions with statin medications
- Risk of aggravating myasthenia gravis symptoms
