Indication

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and H. pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics)

Ingredients

• Esomeprazole 20mg

Direction

Take 1 tablet once daily before a meal (preferably morning). Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush. Duration: 4-8 weeks for GERD, as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Headache
• nausea
• diarrhea
• abdominal pain
• flatulence
• constipation. Long
• term use: risk of bone fractures
• magnesium deficiency
• vitamin B12 deficiency.

Precautions

• Not for long
• term use without medical supervision. Exclude malignancy before treating symptoms. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration. Monitor magnesium levels in prolonged use.
