Indication
Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and H. pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics)
Ingredients
- Esomeprazole 20mg
Direction
Take 1 tablet once daily before a meal (preferably morning). Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush. Duration: 4-8 weeks for GERD, as directed by physician.
Side effects
- Headache
- nausea
- diarrhea
- abdominal pain
- flatulence
- constipation. Long
- term use: risk of bone fractures
- magnesium deficiency
- vitamin B12 deficiency.
Precautions
- Not for long
- term use without medical supervision. Exclude malignancy before treating symptoms. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration. Monitor magnesium levels in prolonged use.
