Indication

Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, H. pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy), NSAID-associated gastric ulcer prevention

Ingredients

Esomeprazole 40mg

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet daily, swallowed whole with water, at least 1 hour before a meal. Treatment duration: 4-8 weeks for GERD; maintenance as directed by physician.

Side effects

Headache
diarrhea
nausea
abdominal pain
flatulence
constipation
dizziness

Precautions

Long
term use may increase risk of bone fractures
magnesium deficiency
and vitamin B12 deficiency. Rule out gastric malignancy before treatment. Caution in patients with liver impairment.
