Moxiclav 5ml Amoxicillin 250mg + Clavulanic Acid 62.5mg per 5ml

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, and sinusitis

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 250mg + Clavulanic Acid 62.5mg per 5ml (after reconstitution)

Direction

Children: Dose based on body weight, typically 25-45mg/kg/day of amoxicillin component in divided doses every 8-12 hours. Shake well before use. Use the measuring spoon provided.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• nausea
• vomiting
• skin rash
• abdominal discomfort. Rarely: allergic reactions
• cholestatic jaundice
• pseudomembranous colitis

Precautions

• Contraindicated in penicillin allergy. Complete the full course. Refrigerate after reconstitution and discard after 7
• 10 days. Caution in liver disease and infectious mononucleosis.
