Indication
Treatment of bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, and sinusitis
Ingredients
- Amoxicillin 250mg + Clavulanic Acid 62.5mg per 5ml (after reconstitution)
Direction
Children: Dose based on body weight, typically 25-45mg/kg/day of amoxicillin component in divided doses every 8-12 hours. Shake well before use. Use the measuring spoon provided.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- nausea
- vomiting
- skin rash
- abdominal discomfort. Rarely: allergic reactions
- cholestatic jaundice
- pseudomembranous colitis
Precautions
- Contraindicated in penicillin allergy. Complete the full course. Refrigerate after reconstitution and discard after 7
- 10 days. Caution in liver disease and infectious mononucleosis.
