Tobrasim-DX 0.3%/0.1% eye drops

Indication

Inflammatory ocular conditions where superficial bacterial infection or risk of infection exists; post-operative ocular inflammation with risk of infection

Ingredients

• Tobramycin 0.3% + Dexamethasone 0.1%

Direction

1-2 drops in affected eye(s) every 4-6 hours. For severe conditions, may increase to every 2 hours initially. Shake well before use. Do not discontinue abruptly.

Side effects

• Eye irritation
• burning
• stinging
• increased intraocular pressure
• blurred vision
• posterior subcapsular cataracts (prolonged use)
• delayed wound healing

Precautions

• Not for long
• term use. May mask or exacerbate infections. Contraindicated in viral (herpes simplex)
• mycobacterial
• and fungal eye infections. Monitor intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
