Indication
Treatment of intestinal helminthiasis including ascariasis, enterobiasis, trichuriasis, hookworm, and strongyloidiasis
Ingredients
- Albendazole 400mg
Direction
Adults and children over 2 years: Single dose of 400mg. May be chewed or swallowed whole. For strongyloidiasis: 400mg daily for 3 days.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- headache
- dizziness
- elevated liver enzymes (rare)
Precautions
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and children under 2 years. Use with caution in hepatic impairment.
