Indication
Mucolytic agent for productive cough: acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma with mucus, COPD, pneumonia. Thins and loosens mucus for easier expectoration.
Ingredients
- Ambroxol Hydrochloride 15mg/5ml
Direction
Adults: 10ml (30mg) 3 times daily. Children 6-12: 5ml 2-3 times daily. Children 2-5: 2.5ml 3 times daily. Take after meals.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- abdominal pain
- taste disturbance. Very rare: severe allergic skin reactions (Stevens
- Johnson syndrome).
Precautions
- Discontinue immediately if skin reactions occur. Use with caution in gastric/duodenal ulcer patients. Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical advice.
