Indication
Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and post-operative conditions
Ingredients
- Ondansetron 8mg
Direction
Adults: 8mg tablet 1-2 times daily. For chemotherapy: 8mg 30 minutes before treatment, then 8mg every 12 hours. As directed by physician.
Side effects
- Headache
- constipation
- flushing
- fatigue. Rare: QT prolongation
- serotonin syndrome
- allergic reactions.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with cardiac conditions (QT prolongation risk). Monitor ECG in high
- risk patients. Adjust dose in hepatic impairment.
