Indication
Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and postoperative recovery
Ingredients
- Ondansetron (Orally Disintegrating Tablet)
Direction
Adults: 4-8mg placed on tongue to dissolve before swallowing. Chemotherapy-induced nausea: 8mg 30 minutes before chemotherapy, then 8mg every 12 hours. Post-operative: 16mg 1 hour before anesthesia or 4mg as needed.
Side effects
- Headache
- constipation
- diarrhea
- dizziness
- fatigue
- malaise
Precautions
- Caution in patients with congenital long QT syndrome or those taking QT
- prolonging medications. Dose adjustment in severe hepatic impairment. Contains aspartame (phenylalanine).
