Indication
Treatment of systemic and superficial fungal infections: aspergillosis, candidiasis, histoplasmosis, onychomycosis (nail fungus), tinea infections, pityriasis versicolor
Ingredients
- Itraconazole 100mg
Direction
Take capsule(s) immediately after a full meal for best absorption. Dosage varies by condition: 100-200mg once or twice daily. Duration: 1 week to several months depending on infection. As directed by physician.
Side effects
- Nausea
- abdominal pain
- diarrhea
- headache
- dizziness
- rash. Rare: hepatotoxicity
- heart failure
- peripheral neuropathy.
Precautions
- Monitor liver function. Contraindicated in heart failure. Many drug interactions
- inform physician of all medications. Not for pregnant women. Prescription required.
