Azithromycin Azrowin 500mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, and sexually transmitted infections

Ingredients

• Azithromycin 500mg

Direction

Adults: 500mg once daily for 3 days, or 500mg on day 1 followed by 250mg once daily on days 2-5. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• dizziness
• skin rash
• elevated liver enzymes

Precautions

• Use with caution in hepatic impairment and QT prolongation. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to macrolides. May cause Clostridium difficile
• associated diarrhoea.
