Indication
Treatment of bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and H. pylori eradication
Ingredients
- Clarithromycin 125mg per 5mL (oral suspension)
Direction
Children: 7.5mg/kg twice daily for 5-10 days. Shake well before use. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- abdominal pain
- taste disturbance
- headache
- skin rash
Precautions
- Contraindicated in macrolide allergy. Use with caution in hepatic and renal impairment. May cause QT prolongation. Multiple drug interactions
