Indication
Treatment of allergic conditions including urticaria, allergic rhinitis, and angioedema. Also used as an appetite stimulant.
Ingredients
- Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride 2mg per 5mL
Direction
Adults: 4mg (10mL) 3 times daily. Children 7-14 years: 4mg (10mL) 2-3 times daily. Children 2-6 years: 2mg (5mL) 2-3 times daily. Not for children under 2 years.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- dry mouth
- dizziness
- nausea
- increased appetite
- weight gain
- headache
- blurred vision
Precautions
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid driving. Not recommended for children under 2 years. Use with caution in glaucoma
- prostatic hypertrophy
- and urinary retention. Avoid alcohol.
