Indication

Primary hypercholesterolemia; mixed dyslipidemia; prevention of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk

Ingredients

• Rosuvastatin Calcium

Direction

Adults: Initial dose 5-10mg once daily. May increase to 20-40mg based on response. Take at any time of day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• Headache
• myalgia
• abdominal pain
• nausea
• asthenia
• constipation
• dizziness
• rhabdomyolysis (rare but serious)

Precautions

• Monitor liver function before and during treatment. Report unexplained muscle pain or weakness immediately (risk of rhabdomyolysis). Contraindicated in active liver disease and pregnancy/breastfeeding.
