Calvit-D Calcium gluconate 500mg + Vitamin D3 200IU

Indication

Treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency states: rickets and malnutrition in children, osteoporosis in the elderly. Supplement of calcium for subjects who need an increase in calcium demand: children during growth phase, pregnant women or breast-feeding mothers.

Ingredients

• Calcium gluconate 500mg
• Vitamin D3 (as dry vitamin D3 100 GFP) 200IU

Direction

Adults: oral dose of 1 tablet twice daily. Children: oral dose of 1 tablet once to twice daily. Treatment of rickets in children: oral dose of 2 tablets twice daily. Treatment of osteoporosis in adults: oral dose of 2 tablets x 3 times daily. Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Constipation
• bloating
• gas. Rare: hypercalcemia.

Precautions

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug. Impaired renal function. Hypercalcaemia
• hypercalciuria. Vitamin D poisoning.
