Woods' Peppermint Expectorant Bromhexine HCl 4mg + Guaiphenesin 100mg per 5ml

Indication

Productive cough, cough due to bronchitis or emphysema

Ingredients

• Bromhexine HCl 4mg
• Guaiphenesin 100mg
• Ethanol 6% v/v (per 5ml teaspoonful)

Direction

Adults and children >12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10ml) 3 times a day. Children 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5ml) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Occasional GI disturbance. Rare effects are allergic skin rashes and vomiting.

Precautions

• Special precaution is needed in GI ulceration. Guaiphenesin may give false positive result of urinary 5
• hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5
• HIAA) and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA).
