Indication

Diarrhea (antidiarrheal)

Ingredients

• Loperamide Hydrochloride USP 2mg

Direction

Apply a thin layer. Allow to dry completely. Keep away from open flames.

Side effects

• Constipation
• abdominal cramps
• nausea
• dizziness.

Precautions

• Do not use if hypersensitive to loperamide or any excipient.
• Do not use in children under 12 years without medical advice.
• Do not use in patients with acute dysentery (bloody stools and fever).
• Do not use in patients with acute ulcerative colitis or antibiotic
• associated colitis (including C. difficile).
• Discontinue if abdominal distension
• constipation
• or ileus develops.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment — may increase risk of CNS toxicity.
• Do not use as sole treatment if dehydration is present — oral rehydration is essential.
• Seek medical attention if diarrhoea does not improve within 48 hours.
