Indication
Muscle pain, topical analgesic
Ingredients
- Menthol 28.0g
- Camphor 16.0g
- Methyl Salicylate (per 100g)
- Base Q.S. to 100.0g
Direction
Apply and massage to affected area
Side effects
- Local cooling sensation
- mild skin irritation. Avoid contact with eyes.
Precautions
- For external use only
- avoid contact with eyes
- mucous membranes
- and broken or irritated skin.
- Do not apply to open wounds or large areas of skin.
- Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
- Prolonged or excessive use over large areas may increase absorption of salicylates — use with caution in patients with aspirin sensitivity.
- Do not bandage or apply heat over treated area as absorption may increase and cause adverse effects.
- Do not use during pregnancy (especially the third trimester) without medical advice — methyl salicylate is absorbed through the skin.
- Consult a doctor if pain persists more than 7 days or worsens.
- Keep out of reach of children — camphor and methyl salicylate can be toxic if ingested.
