Indication

Mucolytic medicine for cough with mucus. It helps break down and loosen thick phlegm in the airways so it can be coughed up more easily.

Ingredients

• Acetylcysteine 200 mg

Direction

Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in a small amount of water, stir until fully mixed, and drink immediately. Use according to age-appropriate dosing and clinical advice.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• or abdominal discomfort
• Headache
• Skin rash or itching
• Bronchospasm or shortness of breath in sensitive patients
• Allergic reactions including facial swelling or severe rash

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to acetylcysteine or any component of the product
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or a history of bronchospasm
• Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease
• Separate from certain oral antibiotics by at least 2 hours when clinically advised
• Seek medical advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding
