Antimo 50 mg

Indication

Nausea and vomiting in travelling using motor vehicles, ships, trains and planes.

Ingredients

• Dimenhydrinate 50 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (50 mg), 4 to 6 times daily, not more than 8 tablets (400 mg). Children 8 to 12 years: 1/2 to 1 tablet (25 to 50 mg), 3 to 4 times daily. Travel sickness: take 1 hour before travelling. If necessary, may be repeated every 4 hours.

• Constipation
• Increased gastric reflux
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Gastric pain
• Cardiac arrhythmia or palpitations

Precautions

• Antiemetic effects can interfere with the diagnosis of the state of appendicitis and can mask signs of toxic use or drug overdose
• Avoid taking alcoholic beverages
• Use caution due to adverse effects on the ability to drive or run the engine
• Increase sedative effects with CNS depressants such as alcohol
• barbiturates
• hypnotics
• analgesics
• opioids
• sedative anxiolytics and antipsychotics
• Atropine and scopolamine can increase antimuscarinic adverse effects
• Use caution with drugs causing ototoxicity such as aminoglycoside antibiotics
• Contraindicated in patients with liver disorders
• hypokalemia
• hypersensitivity to antihistamines
• retention urine and glaucoma
