Amdocal Plus 50 Amlodipine 5mg + Atenolol 50mg

Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Combines a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) with a beta-blocker (atenolol) for better blood pressure control.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amlodipine 5mg
• Atenolol BP 50mg

Direction

Take as directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Fatigue or tiredness
• Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet)
• Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
• Dizziness
• Cold extremities

Precautions

• Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or heart failure.
• Monitor heart rate and blood pressure regularly.
• Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
