Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Combines a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) with a beta-blocker (atenolol) for better blood pressure control.

Ingredients

Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amlodipine 5mg
Atenolol BP 50mg

Direction

Take as directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

Fatigue or tiredness
Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet)
Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
Dizziness
Cold extremities

Precautions

Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor.
Use with caution in patients with asthma or heart failure.
Monitor heart rate and blood pressure regularly.
Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Keep out of reach of children.
