Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Combines a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) with a beta-blocker (atenolol) for better blood pressure control.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amlodipine 5mg
- Atenolol BP 50mg
Direction
Take as directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Fatigue or tiredness
- Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet)
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Dizziness
- Cold extremities
Precautions
- Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor.
- Use with caution in patients with asthma or heart failure.
- Monitor heart rate and blood pressure regularly.
- Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children.
