Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina. Used as a calcium channel blocker to reduce blood pressure and prevent chest pain.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine 5mg

Direction

Take as directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet)
• Headache
• Flushing
• Dizziness
• Fatigue

Precautions

• Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
